Henry could be put for sale in the summer

Catalan sports weekly paper Gol claims that Barcelona is considering to put Barcelona forward and French international Thierry Henry (31) for sale at the end of the season.

The club thinks the player has reached his peak this season and this could therefore be the last chance to get a decent transfer fee for Henry, whose contract expires in 2011 and who earns a net year salary of 7,5 million euro, which means a cost of 10 million euro for the club. Barcelona would want to receive a transfer fee of 15 milion euro° for the Frenchman, with Manchester City being among the candidates (read more
here).

If the transfer goes through, Barcelona plans to sign a new left winger. Two names are being put forward: Bayern Munich attacker and French international Franck Ribéry (25) and Arsenal winger and Dutch international Robin van Persie (25). The latter would have the support of former Barcelona player and manager Johan Cruijff.

Leave Henry alone, i think Titi pledged his future in Barca. And he's also happy as the way he qoutes most of the times.

He needs to go, sorry, this is the truth. We need to bring in a winger, yes that is correct. Hopefully someone who is great at shooting. This is what we need.

RVP is injured...again. Highly doubt Guardiola is interested in him given his emphasis on fitness. This is not a good moment for many Dutch players.

Henry has earned his place this year. He is fully integrated now. He's not going anywhere.

actually it's dumb to speculate, the only worthy substitute won't come cause of bayern. in that case stop wining about selling henry, it's just not relevant.. Ofcoure when man city bids crazy offers you have to accept for a 31year old. For now that's not the case so just wait and see.
Read about Victor valdes his agent, what a dumb man. barça would be stupid to pay victor what cassilas earns. I'm okay with victor but for a reasonable salary. As much I hate to admit it, cassilas is far better. This will mean victor leaves or barça makes a big mistake. eitherway victor will be unhappy both ways because people will compare him with cassilas every match

I think if we get a offer of 15-20 million we should sell and then look for a new left winger but i dont think we should reward his efforts this season by putting him for sale. If the offer comes, sell him but if not just let it be.

Speaking of Henry, I saw that he's also starring in Pepsi's new footvolley flash game: www.pepsifootball.com/game

Why should we let him go? He's been excellent this season and his experience gives the squad much...About the LW situation,Ribery is unlikely to get and Van Persie is too injury prone and arrogant..perhaps Valencia sells Silva with reasonable price?
