Bayern declares Ribery intransferable

Asked about the continuous rumours linking Bayern Munich attacker and French international Franck Ribéry (25) with several European top clubs among which Barcelona (read more here), Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said in an interview with the club's official magazine that the Frenchman is not for sale:

"A transfer of Franck Ribéry is not on the table this Winter or even next Summer. We know what a great player he is and I can reassure all fans.

There is no amount in the world which could make us think about a transfer for pne second. Absolutely none. The board is completely united on this: Franck Ribery has a contract until at least 2011 and he is intransferable."

I hope we can bring Ribery... He is perfect for Barca!! Everyone have price...

That means Barca can get him in the summer or winter 2010. I regret Barca didn't get him 2 years ago as much as Torres. That was big mistake. I hope FCB will get him as soon as possible. Price will be high, but Barca could reduce it with Hleb. Bayern was interested in him this summer.

If FCB don't get him I see Affelay as good signing. He's versatile player like Ribery. He can play both flanks and attacking mid..

I must admit I regret Barca didn't get Vaart and Huntelaar, too.

Ribery yes but Vaart and Huntelaar not so much. VDV has shown very little at Madrid so far, and as for Huntelaar, he has yet to prove himself at the highest level. The dutch league is very poor, just because a player is good there does not mean he will make it at the top level. Kezman was a revelation in the dutch league, he went to Chelsea and couldnt score a goal. I doubt we missed out on either of these guys.

As you guys already mentioned, pity Barca didn't signed Ribery 2 years ago. He came to a big club and strong league and now he's leader and key player for Bayern. We can forget him.

Well, Huntelaar is still injured, but I think he'll be good in Primera. Talking about Vaart, he scored some crucial goals that keep RM so high in Primera. Without him and Sneijder RM would be on 10th position.

Doesn't matter, Barca should focus on their players and forthcoming games.

I'm afraid Neo is right. We can forget about Ribery. Bayern will give him the world just to stay with them.

VdV? He has been trash this season. A highly overrate player who when Real players were healthy was coming off the bench. His set pieces have been abysmal and his contribution on the field worse. HouseMD you say crucial goals to keep Madrid up? Um, no. He scored a lot of goals in the Sporting Gijon game which everyone could have done and what has he done since then? Higuain has kept Madrid up with his penalty against Atletico and his 4 goal feat against Malaga. What use would we have for VdV? If he can barely break into Madrid's eleven how could he break into our midfield? Very overrated player. As for Huntelaar, when Barca looked as strikers in the summer, he was like last choice after like 5 strikers. Im confident he will not even come close to having Ruuds impact in Madrid. Why would we sign Huntelaar? Who would he play over? Let's be realistic HouseMD.
