Giovani confirms Tottenham transfer

In an interview with a Mexican television station during the half-time of the international friendly game between Mexico and Argentina, Barcelona right wing attacker and Mexican international Giovani dos Santos (19) would have confirmed that he's leaving Barcelona this summer stating: "Next season I will play for Tottenham."

Yeah i dont like Giovani for what hes doing, i mean he just pisses on the whole club who made him the player he is today.
He has been in numerous interviews and always said he wanted to be at Barca and so on.
Now he just wanna go whereever.
I see his potential but is it something Barcelona does not need its these fucking players with no heart for the club.
I know he will be a star, but a one without a heart.

Same fan's that are callin him name's is the same reason he's leaving cause of the Ignorant and the many plastic fan's which barcelona call's fan's and treated Gio like shit..Good luck Gio

I guess you can blame it all on being young and naive and a bit crass. But for Gio not to appreciate the HONOR and PRIVILEDGE it is to play for a team like Barcelona and to give it all away for some second division team in Tottenham is baffling to me? I guess it shows that he is willing to put himself and his "stardom" before the team...Let's stop blaming Laporta for this move, because it's becoming clearly evident that Gio wanted out and was only willing to stay if his demands of more playing time and increased wages were met - and he clearly was in no position to dictate his own terms having proven little if anything to the club. His "me first" selfish attitude surely WON'T be missed! Best of luck to you anyways but Barcelona will never hold on to players who are not loyal to the shirt!

I'm very disappointed.... don't why most....because of greedy of giovani or foolish Barca board...i don't know what to say...there are 15 000 000 or more youngsters that would give everything to play with 18 years 30 compete matches for club such as barca

You can blame Geo all you want, but leaving is not entirely up to him. He can't do anything about it if Barcelona wants to give him up. Plus, Guardiola does not seem to want him so why would he waste an entire season with out any playing time. For all of those saying he has no heart for the club, open your eyes and see football for what it is, a business. Players go where they get payed more or where they could get the playing time they want.

No, you open the eyes. Barcelona wanted to keep him but Gio wanted absurdly too much money. So the Barca said him to perform to deserve the money...has it happen? No. He played except the last match shit.

He had no intention to renew, so what should Barca do? He has only a contract for next year so he would leave for free than...it was the last chance how to sell this pesatero.

Just another ungrateful swine. Screw him. He won't be half the player at Tottenham that he could/would've been at Barca. Stupid move for him, I think. It's too soon for the daft but undoubtedly talented lad.
