The Barcelona squad went to visit children in the hospitals in and around Barcelona yesterday.
Seven groups each visited one hospital:
- Valdés, Alves, Cáceres, Bojan, assistant coach Vilanova, president Laporta, vice-president Franquesa
- Messi, Piqué
- Márquez, Henry, Abidal, Puyol, Hleb, manager Guardiola, vice-president Godall
- Eto'o, Iniesta, Touré, Keita, goalkeepingcoach Unzué
- Sylvinho, Jorquera, Pedro
- Gudjohnsen, Pinto
- Xavi, Busquets, Víctor Sánchez

yep fcb is more than just a club,i would prefer though if those things were done behind the cameras...
It is a bit a marketing image that feets to més que un club.
But it makes chlidren happy whatever.
Other teams do thing like that also sometimes. I think Chelsea played in Palestine and so on.
Even individuell players do that kind of "marketing", by donating money to scholls in Afrika and so on.
I think it is better to make poor people happy, instead not doing nothing.
But of course, it is more honestly without the cameras (but it is difficult to be without the journalists and the cameras nowdays however...)
Without the cameras wouldn't make it any more honest, but it would make it less effective. Make no mistake about it, the players love doing stuff like that (just look at their faces....Pique looks like he's about to cry). But stuff like that is also about building a global brand, and reminding people that Barca is "mes que un club," indeed.
Hence the cameras, that make the effort and ultimately the club, stronger.
I think they should find a balance: once a year before the camera and doing the same two more times "anonymously". Although it would leak anyway probably...
if i'm in the hospital and
either Sylvinho, Jorquera, Pedro or gudjhonsen,pinto groups come, i can't help feeling little bit sad!!
i hope seriouslly valdes or marquez or messi groups to come.
