Toure wants to join Juventus in January

Turin sports tabloid Tuttosport claims that Barcelona defensive midfielder and Ivory Coast international Yaya Touré (25) wants to join Italian club Juventus this winter.

The Ivorian is quoted as telling his friends that he wants to leave Barcelona as soon as possible: "I want to go to Juventus. And I want to go there immediately, in January. It's a huge opportunity for me, although I would miss the Champions League a lot. It's a chance that I won't let go bye for any reason in the world."

The agent of the player would have been contacted a couple of weeks ago by Juventus officials, who have offered the player a salary of 3,8 million euro, which would be the double of his current earnings (read more here). The answer of the player and the agent was positive but both want to wait another month, maximum one month and a half, to see how things go at Barcelona.

Very sad news :(

I have been a huge fan of Guardiola so far but i just cannot see the logic in this. Yaya is a far better player than Keita, and he is younger so there is still room for improvment. I just dont understand!!

I can't believe how anyone can take these rumours seriously. This is bullshit stuff from the very unreliable newspaper Tuttosport. I bet it's all lies and Yaya hasn't even spoken with this paper.

he is one of the best defensive midfielder in the world..i dont now why guardiola doesnt like him..we will see what happened..last season he was one of the best players...

I'm concerned about his future with Barça, but not with this rumour.

Anony up till now i have not believed anything being said about Yaya. However this story directly quotes him and he is pretty clear in what he says. As unreliable as Tuttosport is would they go so far as to simply make up words and put them in Yayas mouth? I dunno. What i do know is that for a player of his quality he does not get anywhere near enough time on the pitch and i wouldnt be surprised if he did want to leave

There are too many stories recently about his departure, so I'm starting to believe in. He's definitely not one of the greatest players in the world, but he's team player which plays 100% every game. He knows what's the best for him and Barca should allow him to leave, especially because he didn't play much this season (maybe because of his injury).
The price tag of 10M is ridiculous and there will be a lot of clubs interesting in him in January. I'd ask 14M-to cover expenditure for buying Keita.

Well, i actually don't mind Toure leaving.
When he arrived i was very excited,
finally someone who can help us secure the midfield defensively.
But, although he had performed well, i was slightly disappointed and i still don't think he is good enough to hold our back line while Iniesta and Xavi are doing their magic.
Him and Keita are very much the same for me, and with Busquets rising i think he might be the solution to our problem and not the Africans.
What we really need is Mascherano! :D

...the only logical answer for the situation about touré could be that pep wants to count on busquets and make him a part of the team...touré is still young and don't want to spend much time on the bench while keita is a better option to rotate with busquets...so the answer is...hold busquets and sell touré (who has the ambition to play regular)...or keep it on with touré and maybe stop or slow down busquets development...at the end we have also to respect touré and think about what's best for him too...

He went from saying he will wait his turn and continue to train hard to this? I liked him alot last year and thought he was our second best player and was puzzled as to why he wasn't getting time but up until recently I felt he would get his turn. After these statements from both him and his agent, I don't see him getting much play time now. Pep won't be bullied into playing anyone and Yaya should have known this.

As far as we know, this is what he "would" have said to some of his friends, so don't act as if it's the truth. Wait and see...

The one thing that is sure is that he didn't want to comment on the transfer rumours this weekend.

Ivory Coast doesn't play mid-week so he'll probably be back in Barcelona today or tomorrow, with the press waiting to ask him about Juventus.

Why would juventus want him? They already have poulsen and sissoko. I think Toure will leave, but not for juventus. He will go to arsenal and cesc will come to barcelona.

OK, I am not going to believe this story. But the thing I want take out of this is the salary issue. Is3.8Mill euros gonna be double his salary/year. jokes.. If and I am saying ONLY IF thats true, Yaya is on 36,500euros/week. I wouldnt blame anyone for leaving for these reasons: less playing time + ridiculos wages.. I now see why Benitez gets his men from spain.

"Quoted at telling his friends"

I dont believe this story. It´s most likely story some italian media made up after the critism by Toures agent. No way would Toure say that he wanted to leave to the media. He is a fighter and its not like he lost his place. He is still considered an important first teamer but of course i understand if he would want to leave if Busquets keeps starting ahead of him. I think that Toure and Busquets will share the spot this season and the Toure will leave at the summer. Not before.

What can you believe anymore?!!

I cant even read this rubbish anymore...

especially after reading this...

Moving between Barcelona and Real Madrid is a difficult and risky move to make but speaking today about his son Sergio, Carlos Busquets could not rule out his son going to the capital. Could we be about to see another pig's head being thrown by the Barca crowd?

(shakes head)...... CAN ANYONE SAY CONSPIRACY!

well I was never quite sold on toure and I am definitely not sold on keita...this busquets kid looks like he can be better than both of them... funny but I think next summer we need a new dm to back up busquets sell keita and toure

Yaya is a cool guy and I dont think he would talk like this.
And if he wants to go he will say that officially not through some Italian-paper shit.

Lose Abidal while your at it, good work Guardiola, this guy is a under-achieving scrub.

if trully yaya is insisting in going see guys i thought he should go coz he knows whats best for him and juve is not a small team but i wouldn't advise him to go to arsenal.but if he can still reconsider this,i think he should stay coz he got great potentials in his porsition and probably one of the best in his position.though we got a young kid filling that void for us but we all know busquet is still young and can not control pressure in big matches as yaya.but busquet too is a promising young talent lets give him the chance to improve more.
