Deco and Giovani are seen as bargains

British tabloid The Sun has put together a list of the best Premier League bargains this summer.

With Mikael Silvestre (from Manchester United to Arsenal for 850 000 euro) as number one bargain, former Barcelona players Deco and Giovani are on the list at places 3 and 7, with the following comments:

3. Deco (10 million euro)
Deco was hardly cheap but when you compare his fee to the number of expensive flops at Chelsea and beyond, he may emerge as a sharp piece of business. The Portugal midfielder has already proved himself as a matchwinner at Wigan last month and he has a track record of success.

7. Giovani (6+5 million euro)
It was not long ago that Chelsea were weighing up an eight-figure move for the Mexican, so Spurs now look like an early riser at the Christmas sales. Dos Santos is still a raw talent but if boss Juande Ramos can bring the best out of him, Barcelona may rue letting him go.

Whatever, Deco was finished at BArcelona....anybody who has been watching us for the last two seasons would know that. Whatever he may or may not achieve at Chelsea this season he would not have done the same for us.

As for Gio.....first of all we have talents far better and far more loyal to the club than Gio. For every Gio we may let go, there is a Bojan waiting in the wings. We cannot keep hold of all our youngsters....we are not arsenal who field a team of kids. Either they are willing to be patient and wait for their chance or they are more interested in money and making a name for themselves as quick as possible. Gio's attitude was all wrong. Whether or not we could have really gotten more money for an 18 year old who had a mediocre season im not sure!

gio did have a bad season last seoson but he wanted to leave remember to get more playing time, i think tottenham is perfect for him and maybe someday we'll see him playing for us again even better

@ hilal
you are absolutely right about deco!!...same as dinho...both of them where no longer motivated at barca. they`ve already won everything they wanted with barca. dinho had a very good debut in the seria a and deco is also doing very well at chelsea, some people are saying it was a big mistake for letting them leaving.

Bojan is way OVER RATED it's not like he lit up league or anything, ppl make more of him that he actually is there's way better then him

to the douchebag above me.. Bojan is and will be great! name one player his age (17 last year) who plays better or scored more goals than him. No one under 20 played better than him last year who plays for a world class club, so if you think hes overrated then youre overretarded!

For a 17 year old to crack the first team of a world class club like FCB, thats an accopmlishment in itself. Now add all the goals and assists he had last season to that. So take your overrated label and shove it up your ass!
