another flawless performance from marc at the weekend. we're all delighted if not a bit surprised at just how quickly he has settled into the team and the new league.

the football here is obviously much different from what he has experienced previously in spain and france but he has adapted really quickly.

his passing as expected from any barca youth product is sharp, precise and he always looks to play offensively even from deep positions.. he has managed to show up the weaknesses in our other midfielders in process.

we have a cup game tomorrow night, but he is expected to be rested for saturday's match, as he didnt feature against aalborg so the manager maybe doesnt think he can cope physically with 2 games in 1 week.

we hope he can sustain his start, but we are not getting carried away as Massimo Donati, who we signed from AC Milan started brilliantly last year only to fade away in the second half of the season. crosas is young but let's hope he can keep improving. but not too much as we dont want barca to take him back!!

good luck with la liga.

Interesting comments, Doffen. Would be very nice if you could come and drop by to comment on Crosas' performances every now and then.

That he always looks to play offensively even from deep positions, can be explained because he was raised as "number four", a kind of playmaker before the defence.

A position more or less invented by Cruijff with Guardiola being his man for that spot. People like Xavi, Iniesta and Cesc have also grown up playing that position in the Barcelona youth, although Crosas could be the last one, with the system apparently having changed now with a real defensive midfielder before the back-four.

I think he has a pretty good head on his shoulders so I can't see his attitude causing a fall-back.

P.S. I'll move your comment to the latest Crosas topic, so people can also read it there.
