So far, so good, but now it's time to conduct a reform of attack. Option of bringing Adebisi faded away but I wouldn't despair because there are other option.

Today, a strange idea crossed my mind - imagine exchange between Barca and Inter like Adriano + some cash for R10. Barca needs an tall and strong attacker and Inter needs an winger. Adriano is still relatively young (1982) and his class is undeniable, even he passed some serious crisis on a sport as well as personal level. However, I truly believe that he put that past him and is on his way of recovering strength and skill. As a player, he is a true beast. At 190cm, his ball skill is second to none and Adebayor and likes can hide in his presence. He possess a cannon in his leg and a thrilling pace. His only disadvantage is his inconsistency. But I am sure that in new environment, his motivation would be skyrocketed. Just imagine this giant between Messi and Silva/Arshavin. I can say that Adriano would be a dream signing and doesn't even seem so unobtainable. I doubt that Mourinho and Moratti would so easily drop the possibility of signing R10 relatively cheap. And opinions? Pep, what do you think of this?

With Barca's board doing stupid things, like admitting that star players (Deco, Eto'o and R10) are surplus their price dropped significantly and smartest thing Barca could do now is try to exchange them instead of selling for low price while carefully picking the replacements.

Just my 50c.

Pep doesn't have much time to think but he's a little worried about the question: who is going to make those goals? I like Adriano but can we afford to take this risk?

I am very satisfied with the "transfer ins", the transfer outs were also "ok" Zambrotta price was really good, edmilson free contract and good luck, Deco and Giovani were sold for cheap.
Regarding Adiriano...well if we will take a risk of "lack of professionalism" VS "talent and potentials" then y will we sell ronaldinho in the first place? Adriano is a good striker, but he lack maturity, discipline and professionalism, Ronaldinho is even much better than him in that(even if he is still bad), so if i want to evaluate the idea of "getting ride of roni to import adriano and buy a winger _with all the risks of adriano flops and winger risk not to meet expectations" or "keeping ronaldinho with the risk of meeting the expectation of not being able to b back in his best" i feel the second option still less risky (if we want to b reasonable and not in a search for a scape goat for barca flops). keeping in mind that if roni found a charismatic leader from the bench "which is not the case with ex barca coach, i just remember how he squeeze himself in the corner of the bench when things get wrong" but if pepe had the "it" to capture roni wild instinct, its enough that roni get back 60% of his ex-form to be better than any winger i can think of.
will it happen?i am not sure...but it still worth trying "IF" no serious options were available.
I think if no target men found to b starters in barca line, the best option is to find a tall strong target man who can come from the bench only when needed, i think loaning sheva or buying drogba (for less than 15M-but unlikely to accept bench role)may help.
i wonder where is the scouting staff to dig for young/strong/talented but yet un accomplished striker for cheap who can be a part of this season combination and the perfect compliment for bojan in future. we r getting young players in defense, y not in offense?

I wouldn't agree that Ronaldinho's condition is worse than Adriano's. R10 was given 2 years to recover of him mental and physical problems with no success.
Besides, when you take away Ronaldinho's speed his technical skill is almost gone and almost nothing remains. But when you take Adriano's speed there still remains his statue of almost 2 meters, aerial play and one of the most powerful shots in the game.
Let's not mention that Adriano had really serious issues within family while Ronaldinho (as far as we know) was just... well... partying. No other club in the world would give any player 2 years chance to improve.
Besides, his long-term performance on the field with the wage that he was (and still is) receiving shows eveident lack of respect for a FCB as a club, board and, above all, fans. Even after all that, I am not saying, like some, that we MUST get rid of him. But thing we MUST is to find an worthy alternative in case his repeated comeback fails.
I was mentioning player exchanges, so there is another thing we could do. Eto'o for Drogba and Malouda. That wouldn't compromise the development of young players (Gai, Bojan ...), wouldn't be expensive and wouldn't ruin the dressing room balance. All problems solved - tall and strong goalscoring striker with huge european experience, powerful experienced winger and definitely wouldn't cost fortune. If R10 recovers we have an excellent sub, otherwise we have powerful technical team-playing winger. The whole move is actually highly possible since Drogba is on the verge of leaving Stamford Bridge and Chelsea is bringing another winger (Arshavin) so Malouda's place is even less safe. I really doubt that any of mentioned players would reject an offer to play for Barca. Even Eto'o could be involved in deal and that would solve 3 Barca's problems in one shot.

God, I am currently really bored... :)

I cannot believe this. I just finish my small observation and go back to FCBtransfers home and first article - Chelsea offers Malouda in Eto'o deal.
:)

Guess that someone from Barca's board read this stuff after all :)))

Malouda had a bad season, a bad euro, so i really doubt that he is barcelona material!
