Berbatov if Adebayor situation remains unclear

Madrid sports tabloid As claims that Bulgarian international Dimitar Berbatov (27) will become the top priority of Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain if the situation of Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor remains unclear next week (read more here).

The main problem for the Berbatov transfer would be the interest of Manchester United in the Bulgarian striker, although the advice of former Barcelona player Hristo Stoichkov could make his compatriot Berbatov choose for Barcelona (read more here). Tottenham would prefer to sell Berbatov to Barcelona instead of to Premier League rival Manchester United.

God no. Adebayor is much better for the same price...he is younger, faster and stronger. Berbatov is too lazy to play in our system. I like only his technical quality.

I agree completely.

I thought Barcelona were looking for that "physical, in the box, good on header's" type of player? so how does Berbatov fill that role? He is exactly the OPPOSITE of what is stated above; one touch, finesse player, frail, and who will "get lost" in the fray near the box. If Adebayor is no longer an option I would go for Drogba instead. Much like Eto'o maybe a change of scenery may do him good. Otherwise name me a better alternative.

We should get Luis Fabiano who is better than both and cheaper.
