Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona is interested in inter Milan central defender and Italian international Marco Materazzi (34) (read more here).
New Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola is looking for a strong and experienced leader at the back and Materazzi would fit that profile. Barcelona midfielder Deco (30) and Giovani dos Santos (19) could be included in the operation.

Of all the rumors I've heard to date this one's the most farfetched! I'm not surprised to see Deco's name involved because he's been pegged to join Inter for some time. But the addition of Dos Santos in a swap deal makes no sense! The paper must have gotten the names mixed up, meaning a swap deal for Maicon instead of Materazzi! That at least, would make much more sense.
