OFFICIAL: Hleb to Stuttgart on loan

Barcelona has earlier today officially announced the transfer of Barcelona attacker and Belarusian international Alexander Hleb (28) to Stuttgart.

Vfb Stuttgart has meanwhile officially confirmed the news saying that the clubs reached an agreement this morning.

Hleb will join Stuttgart on a one-year loan, with the German club paying his full salary. Hleb already played with Stuttgart for five seasons, from 2000 until 2005.

So much for him being tied to the Ibra - Eto'o deal. I am glad he wasn't part of the that deal. Now we know for sure it was a straight swap with cash.

Damn, onther 5 million out the door.. Hope Stuttgart at least pay some of it (or that Barca has to pay less bonuses/lower part of his wage)..

Good riddance to a worthless crap !!

Good for him. I hope he gets back to the Hleb I always liked.

He was part of the Inter deal, Aussie, but he backed out and now Barceloan will have to compensate Inter for that with more cash.

Hope he does well. If he doesn't come back next summer, it at least would mean we could get a better price for him then. Although he'll already be 29 by that time...

At least Stuttgart pays his salary(4m).

So we pay 3m to Inter. That means we payed about 46m + Eto'o for Zlatan. The full operation was about 68-69m.

Let's hope he shows his quality there. Think it will be difficult to return to Barcelona afterwards.

With the presidential elections coming up, some candidates will want to make some star transfer and that will probably be a left winger or an attacking midfielder (since the other spots are kind of occupied: Messi, Zlatan, Iniesta, Xavi). And that are also Hleb's spots.

Good luck for sure!

No, the zlatan deal stays the same. 43m+Eto'o+3m (70% of Hleb's wage). Hleb instead plays for Stuttgart who pays his full wage. We pay Inter 46m. We should have sold him though. What is the point in loaning him out? Impossible to sell, which always happens with us?

Anony is right. The Ibra deal doesnt' change. It's still 46 + Eto'o. The 3 million was always going to be paid to Inter. Instead of being used on 70% of Hleb's wages it'll be used on whatever they want now.

As for the Stuttgart move. I guess he's giving up on making it at a big club. Unless Barca just didn't want to pay for his wages anymore and wanted to push him out it doesn't really make sense.

It's not like he'll play better next year then we'll give him another chance. Everyone already knows he has quality enough to play at a club like Stuttgart. It's not going to improve his chances at a big club. Plus the language factor again, I can't imagine him getting another shot at Barca. This is basically just a one year salary dump. It's like the Saviola situation where we'll just keep loaning him out to avoid paying his salary but we've essentially given up on getting anything out of him.

The club might think they're going to get a bigger fee by loaning him out for a year, but I can't see it when he's going to be 30 by this time next year. Selling him for a cut-rate 8-9 million might be better than waiting this extra year.

arsenal mania..

So Arsenal is about buying and selling with profits, well we don't mind you continuing to provide teams with quality players. While you never win anything we can enjoy winning trophys. So the Arsenal objectives is not to win trophies but to make profit, maybe you should join the supermarkets, Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons and Arsenal.

Hahahaha Another trphy less season coming up you moron!!

This is the danger of buying players close to 30. Impossible to get any good fees for them if they fail. Looks like we will probably give him away for free next year, like we usually do.

And people who think Caceres will ever play for us again should stop kidding themselves. It is 100% certain that he will not come back. There are also rumours that we have been stupid enough to already agree on a fixed price for the player after the loan deal instead of hoping for a bidding war if he does well in Serie A.

I have a feeling that caceres could end up being one best defenders at Juventus and sadly we have included an option for a permenent deal and like you say Anony a fixed price.

We are really crap when it comes to selling players. We have Lost Eto'o, Hleb, Caceres and maybe Guddy too so that could be 4 out 3 already gone and we have 2 in with Maxwell and Zlatan we cannot count on Keirrison bcoz his gone on loan. I thought Pep wanted a bigger squad..what do we do now?

barcelona is selling an loaning out so much players and buying very little and this year we are playing for more trophies. I think we really need more depth in the squad. But I also think dat pep knows what he is doing he will promote promising youngsters
