Victor Vazquez has mixed feelings about debut

Asked about his Champions League debut against Shakhtar Donetsk yesterday, Barcelona Atlètic attacker Víctor Vázquez (21) has said to the club's official media that he has mixed feelings about the game:

"Despite the personal satisfaction and being happy for my Champions League debut, I'm also sad and bothered by the final result because one never likes to lose a game.

We've played well but we were a bit imprudent at the back and they took advantage of the counter attacks. Now the team has to focus on the game against Madrid, something the B-team players are also looking forward to."

yes!!!he played far better than Bojan.I dont why people overrate Bojan so much!!! i think Vazquez played well in midfield despite he is a striker and when he moved up,he played well too.i hope he will get more opportunity this season.

I would say that it is unfair to compare the likes of Bojan and Vazquez. The play was often placed att the wings and in the midfield and when the passes finaly came to the center (often from Vazquez) they were not easy to handle for Bojan. Very often they were so called "Good luck-balls". Having said that I am aware that this was'nt a great game for Bojan. He struggled a lot and never seemed to find the momentum. Vazquez was good and should get moore chanses in the future, but I don't agree on him having bigger potential than Bojan.

i think yesterday's game highlighted why guariola's was not willing to give player's like bojan,caeceres,sylvinho,jorquera.. more time.don't know about sylvinho, but others were a disgrace to the 20-consecutive match winning side that guardiola had created.the night's revelation was vazquez, guy has got some serious potential, has a powerful shot, and has aphysical presence inspite of being short.i now see why guardioala wanted to sign an experienced cb,not that he has a liking for cbs...

So anik, you're saying that we should get another CB (in addition to Milito and Henrique) for conceding less in these meaningless CL games in which play our B-Team? Give me a break.

I told you guys he deserved to be on the first team before V. Sanchez but he isn't only because he is vital to the B team. He will definitely be promoted after this season.

To Anik!

I dont know if u noticed but this was the first time they playd with eachother. U cant compare the squad against Valencia with the squad against Shaktar. Who gives a rats ass about the 20-consecutive winning strike we had, its better to lose a shity game against Shaktar and win against Madrid. Now that we know how it feels to "lose again", we can concentrate on winning again, starting on saturday against Madrid
