Arshavin repeats Barcelona is his favourite club

Asked about the rumours that linked him earlier this year with a move to Barcelona (read more here), Zenit Saint Petersburg forward and Russian international Andrei Arshavin (27) has said in an interview with Spanish football weekly paper Don Balón that Barcelona is his preferred destination:

"I still want to go and play abroad. I would like to play in Spain or England. Barça is my favourite club. My childhood idols were Stoichkov, Romario and later on Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. All played for Barcelona, the club I was fan of. I loved their playing style. In England, I first liked Manchester United but now I like Chelsea more."

if the price is right, lets make him happy cos he wld sure make us happy. hes got passion for this club and hes good enough to wear the shirt. He wld play more in the the kings cup as he cup tied for the UCL, but he wld also help in the Liga, Messi cant play every game.

Okay if you're saying Messi can't play every game then we'll need someone else, because Arshavin doesn't fit the same style as Messi. So if we play Arshavin we'll have to adjust our styles. And what will happen to Alves too? And can't we use our B team players (jeffren is back) and some first teamers for Messi. I think we just need a sub for Xavi, because right now we don't have a replacement for him. I just say no January Transfer...

We hav Hleb/Iniesta to play in Xavi's position. We dont need another Midfielder, we got too mnay already.
Itz obvious ! Messi cant play each n every game. And injuries can come any time.
Cant play with too many juniors like how Arsenal is doing.
We need a Super-Sub !

Arshavin is the answer.

If only he was a few years younger, I would be the first one who would want him to transfer to us.

man! he really wants in..
it sure creates a dilemma.. we have a well balanced squad. do we really need him?
On the other hand if we dont buy him, someone else will and i would hate to see him play for chelsea or worse... Real Madrid..
Tough nut.. I think Guardiola will make the right choice though.. Lets hope so..

Two of many players that I really want to see in our left flank are Angel Di Maria and Arshavin. But we already have quality young players coming for that position such as Gai to cover Iniesta. Arshavin is a good option too because he wouldn't stay for many years regarding his age and he don't mind to warm the bench and that gives Pep more options too. The only problem is his price. He's already a great player with experience and playing for Barca is his dream. Get him if the price is right.

This dude is simply not good enough for Barcelona... he'd be ineffective in La Liga the same way he was ineffective against Madrid last week.

He's the optimal choice 4 LW, get him for 12 mln euros and he will give us an unforgetable 2 years.
