New U2 tour kicks off at Camp Nou

Irish rock band U2 has today officially announced that they will open their new "360°" world tour at the Camp Nou Stadium in Barcelona on 30 June.

The new stadium tour will visit 14 cities across Europe in July and August, before moving to North America in September and October.

U2 last came to Barcelona during their Vertigo Tour on 7 August 2005, when over 80 000 people attended the concert at the Camp Nou. Part of the tickets for the concert in Barcelona will this time be reserved for Barcelona socios.

They're sure paid for the use of the stadium.

And they need a new pitch after events like this, so guess they get an extra compensation for that.
