Barcelona considers selling Hleb

Madrid sports tabloid As claims that Barcelona attacker and Belarus international Alexander Hleb (27) could leave the club in the summer (read more here).

Although Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola still supports the player, the club is considering to sell Hleb after only one season. Several English clubs would be interested to sign him.

Catalan sports weekly paper Gol claims that both Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain and Barcelona manager Guardiola are unhappy with the recent attitude and statements of Hleb.

The club would be willing to let the player go if another team would ask for him during the next transfer window.

Hleb+cash=Ribery

I'd like to see it happen, but Bayern will ask huge amount for Ribery. Kalou from Chelsea could be better option than Hleb too.

not a bad option. I must admit that ribery played well yesterday. I also like gourcuff but ribery i the better player for the moment. Henry played well the first period too!

If they accept it will be 25-30 million and hleb, that's maybe a little bit too much.. that 45million! we payed 15 +3 for hleb.

case 1: Barca-Mallorca copa del rey
87th min.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWYfP6I-Us0&feature=related
Iniesta breaks with the ball. Eto'o at the top of the penalty area surrounded by 3 defenders, Hleb on the left wide open on the left ahead of Iniesta (in case anybody wishes to claim that he wasn't seen or heard) and Iniesta chooses(foolishly) to pass to Eto'o who doesn't even reach the ball before it is cut out by defenders.
case 2: 3 days later, Barca vs Sporting, 23rd min, almost exactly similar situation with Henry rather than Hleb and Iniesta passes without hesitation to Henry who centers for Eto'o to score.

I believe Iniesta to be an intelligent player n I didn't hear about any bolt of lightning striking him in those 4 days. So, i believe it unlikely that he suddenly wisened up to using the wide player in such a situation.

Clearly Hleb does not enjoy the confidence of his teammates. He gets more starts and playing time than Bojan, about as much as Gudhjonsen and Keita i think yet he complains that the problem is that he doesn't get enough playing time. Barca wanted to sell Eto'o last summer but he turned things around for himself with the effort he put in the training sessions and on the field. Why is it we never hear something like said about Hleb? I am not saying Hleb is a lost cause but he has to do more to help himself, regain the faith of his teammates and coach. If we need someone to offer something fresh, turn a game around, would anyone like that substitute to be Hleb ? His teammates don't have confidence in him, the opposition doesn't seem to take him seriously and most of he lacks confidence in himself. More playing time is not going to solve all his problems, he has to sort things out at the training camp.

Well, I don't agree that Hleb is a problem or that he can't 'fit' in with the club...He just needs a bit more time still.

That being said, I'd love it if Barca went after Ribery...He is amazing and the best person to fill the void of Ronnie, IMHO
