100 million euro Chelsea offer for Messi

British tabloid News of the World claims that Chelsea president Roman Abramovich has authorized a record 100 million euro° bid for Barcelona right wing attacker and Argentinian international Lionel Messi (20) (read more here).

Abramovich wants a change in Chelsea's football style and has made that clear to manager Avram Grant. After Messi's performances against Manchester United in the Champions League semi finals, the Russian billionaire got even more convinced that Messi should be the key figure of the new project.

A source close to the proposed deal is quoted as saying: "Roman is convinced Messi could change the whole face of Chelsea and is willing to spend what it takes to get him. He has always wanted that type of player. Under Jose Mourinho he accepted the football because it was bringing in the trophies but he got bored. Grant wants to change things but has explained it takes time and a lot of money to alter the style. Now is the time for Roman to finance that change. Chelsea are attractive because of the wages on offer and they are in the Champions League Final."

The tabloid says that Barcelona did not plan to let their Argentinian youth product go. The astonishing offer has nevertheless surprised everyone and the Barcelona board would be divided on the decision to sell.

Go to hell Chelsea!

Never in a million years you will get a player of Messi's caliber.

Leo loves Barcelona and Barcelona loves Leo. End of story...

I very much doubt that this is true because NOONE's worth 100mill Euro. However if it is true then Barsa should go for it.
Messi may be the best player in the World, but he's frail and fragile; that's why he is injured every season.
Imagine how many positions Barsa can fill with this money.

Chelsea are truly dreaming, Leo is a more dignified player and person then any of the chelsea scum that kneel at abrahamovics tyrant feet! He would never go to such a morally disgusting club! especially after it was there defenders who tried to break his legs with vicious tackles on the command of one jose murinho 2 years ago and then later labelling Leo messi as a 'Dirty diving dog'!!.. go to hell chelsea and mourinho!
