Asked about the rumours linking Barcelona central defender and Uruguayan international Martín Cáceres (22) with a move to Juventus (read more here), the player's agent Daniel Fonseca has said in an interview with Italian fan site Calcio Mercato that a decision will be made in the coming days:
"We are working on a deal. I'm not yet in Italy though. I can confirm that the player only wants to join Juventus on loan. If he cannot go to Juventus, he'll stay with Barcelona. I think there will be news in the next two or three days. Loan or permanent move? We prefer a loan, that's the easiest option. I am optimistic, we could have interesting news soon."

Deal between Juventus and Caceres almost done
Asked about the rumours linking Barcelona central defender and Uruguayan international Martín Cáceres (22) with a move to Juventus (read more here), the player's agent Daniel Fonseca has said in an interview with Italian television channel Sky Sport 24 that a deal between the player and the Italian club is close:
"With Juventus, we have almost reached an agreement. There are a few details left but it's basically a done deal. Now we should convince Barcelona. At the beginning, they didn't want him to leave because they paid so much for him last year, but now things are looking good. We're working on a loan move and I think we'll find the best solution very soon. My role is to make the player happy and he didn't get a chance at Barcelona so he wanted to leave."

Juventus and Roma interested in Caceres

Would Barcelona be willing to let him go on loan? At this moment, no. The will of the player? His priority is to play regularly, it doesn't really matter if that's in Italy or in Spain."

Caceres could sign Zaragoza loan deal this week
Aragon regional sports paper Equipo claims that Barcelona central defender and Uruguay international Martín Cáceres (22) will sign this week a loan deal with newly promoted first division club Zaragoza.
Barcelona and Zaragoza would almost have reached a total agreement, with only some economic details left. Zaragoza and Cáceres are also said to be very close to a deal.
Madrid sports tabloid As claims that the two clubs already reached a verbal agreement when sports directors Txiki Begiristain and Antonio Prieto met on 13 June. The deal is now expected to be finalized this week and could be officially announced on Friday.
Barcelona and Zaragoza would have agreed that Cáceres would join on a free loan, with Zaragoza only having to pay the salary of the Uruguayan and without an option to buy the player at the end of the season. Between Cáceres and his possible new club there are still some issues left, especially regarding the incentives the centre-back will lose by leaving Barcelona, but Prieto and the player's agent Daniel Fonseca would want to reach an agreement as soon as possible.

Guardiola agrees with Caceres loan to Zaragoza
Madrid sports tabloid As claims that Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola has yesterday given the green light for the loan of central defender and Uruguay international Martín Cáceres (22) to Zaragoza.
Zaragoza reportedly wants to officially announce the transfer next week. After the deal with Barcelona, the newly promoted club will have to hold a last meeting with the player's agent Daniel Fonseca, who will travel from Italy to Spain in the coming hours.
The contract is expected to be signed on Tuesday or Wednesday. A buy option won't be included in the loan deal, also beause Zaragoza doesn't have the financial means to sign the defender.
Aragon regional newspaper El Periódico de Aragón claims that Barcelona is still not excluding to including Cáceres in the transfer of Valancia forward Villa (read more here) but that everything nonetheless indicates that the defender will join Zaragoza on loan. Cáceres would have agreed with the move.

Agent Caceres confirms Zaragoza interest
Asked about the rumours linking Barcelona central defender Barcelona central defender and Uruguay international Martín Cáceres (22) with a loan move to Zaragoza (read more here), the player's agent Daniel Fonseca said in an interview with Aragon regional newspaper El Periódico de Aragón that this could be an option:
"I know about the interest, but there's not only Zaragoza, also other teams are interested. I want to wait until he comes back from holidays on 10 July. I can then talk calmly with him and with Barcelona. We're not in a hurry.
Martín needs to play and he will play. If Guardiola cannot find him a place in the team, we'll look at other options. Zaragoza would sure be a nice place for him. Because of the history and the possibilities, it's a great club and I'm happy they have returned to the Liga."
The paper claims that Cáceres, who would prefer to stay in Spain, has also been sounded out by Galatasaray, Celtic Glasgow and Sporting Gijón.

First meeting with Caceres
Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona sports vice president Marc Ingla and Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain met yesterday afternoon in the 'Juan Carlos I' hotel in Barcelona with Daniel Fonseca, the agent of Recreativo Huelva central defender and Villareal loan out Martín Cáceres (21).
Barcelona wants to bring in another centre back defender who can play alongside Puyol during the first months of next season when Gabriel Milito will be out due to an injury. Cáceres would be one of the main options. This is confirmed by Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo.
During the meeting the contract situation and the wishes of the player were discussed. It seems that the Uruguayan defender would be very interested in a transfer but that the fee could be a main problem, with Villareal not willing to let Cáceres go for less than 20 million euro° (read more here).
