Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Saint-Etienne forward and French international Bafétimbi Gomis (22) would be an alternative option in case the transfer of more high-profiled players wouldn't be possible.
Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola would like the French striker a lot and Barcelona has excellent scouting reports on Gomis, who could be available for a more reasonable price than other options.

Thanks for the compliment, took a look at you blog, keep up the good work. Sure looks beter than mine ;)
I'm sure that, with the new manager and a seriously renewed squad, all Barcelona fans are also very much looking forward to the pre-season.
How can Barcelona be even considering buying such a lousy player???
I think Guardiola is sick in the head!!!
this is MADNESS!! why Gomis?? Better solutions are Gai, Thiago...
Lol. Gai is a winger and Thiago a midfielder. So how could they be a better solution?
This player should just be an option but probably not really seriously considered to play for Barca??
Its just really ridiculous that when Barca has an interest in a player the club of the intended player just increases the price like mad...
Wont be suprised if Barca does consider this player... The price increases for players like anything the moment Barca has an interest, now that is madness wont blame Barca for considering this player...
However maybe quality of quantity right??
Why don't Barcelona try to convince Romario to come out of retirement instead.
Dudes, it's just a rumour .. you're acting like nuts. Our staff could not even considered him as an option.
