Talks with Arsenal on Adebayor-Hleb package deal

Catalan sports Sport claims that Barcelona and Arsenal are negotiating the transfers of Arsenal forward and Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor (24) and Arsenal midfielder and Belarussian international Alexander Hleb (27).

Despite the wish of the English Premier League club to hold on to both, the pressure from the players would have made Arsenal decide to start talking.

While Barcelona wants to close the Hleb deal as soon as possible, the talks on Adebayor are at this moment only intended to keep the option open for when Barcelona makes a decision on who will be next season's centre forward.

If this scenario goes through it would be a complete disaster! Barcelona are acting like a child who can't keep their hands from touching a hot stove no matter how many times you tell them,"NO"! They just never learn. If Adebayor is not considered a world class striker by Arsenal's standards then why should he be considered such by Barcelona? and Hleb...please don't get me started on him again! If the Barcelona board think that replacing the likes of Dinho, Deco and Eto'o for the likes of Hleb, Adebayor/Trezequet, they have clearly lost their minds! I hear Rosell's footsteps growing louder by the day!

hmm i disagree with you on hleb, but i see what your saying. I like Hleb tho, i watched him at arsenal this past season some and i think he could do good at barca. But Adabeyor, ehh i don't think so. I get frustrated watching him cause one minute he's the world's worst clutz then the next he's beating one or two guys. I don't think he should be a target of Joan.
