Real Madrid considering Ronaldinho transfer

The rumour has been out there for a while and now Catalan sports paper Sport has picked it up: Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho (28) could move to Real Madrid.

If Cristiano Ronaldo wouldn't end up in Madrid, Ronaldinho would come to Madrid in a gigantic marketing operation.

Real Madrid sports director Pedrag Mijatovic would have commented in his inner circle that the player still has two or three years left at the top of his game and that he could return to his best level in Madrid. The negotiations would be ongoing in all discretion.

I hope he does go to Midrid for the way the fan's and press have treated him it would only be right that barcelona get treated the way they treat their best player's like shit..

Hang on there, folks. Ronaldinho's half-life for us ended more than a year ago. He hasn't been the same since after World Cup. His treatment of the club last season was terrible. He was given every chance by Rijkaard, who even listened to Ronaldinho's medicos instead of the club's own and said, "Train on your own, just let us know."

He's injured. No, he's not. But wait....this time, he's REALLY injured. And yet he's dancing the nights away at area nightspots.

He's treated the club as poorly as everyone alleges the club has treated him. If he can't support the club and be his best, or put in his best effort at being the best, get out, and good riddance.

Ronaldinho didn't make us great by himself. Look at his PSG years. If he were capable of that, he would have done wonders there, right? No Ligue 1 trophies during his tenure, just an Intertoto.

He became a link in an exceptional machine that reached its apex when he arrived. Yes, he's great. But he isn't Barca. No player is, though Puyol comes closer than any player on the roster to that status.

If he wants to go to there, let him go. It's a good marketing move for them, since they've lost money from Beckham jersey sales, and need that same kind of iconic world-wide figure.

But support the club. If he's going, it's for a very good reason. Does any club supporter want a repeat of last season? Doubtful. Will he ever be the player he was in 05 and 06? Again, doubtful. Can he be a lot better than he was? You bet.

I wish him well whereever he goes, until he comes to the Nou Camp.

He's a Barcelona legend, it would hurt to see him in the Madrid shirt.

But you can't see it happen anyway. To see him in the Manchester City shirt will hurt far less... ;-)

I couldn't agree with you more Kxevin. Ronaldinho's just as much to blame for his falling out at Barcelona. So far this rumor is just that, a rumor! Presumably to rile up Barcelona fans. I wouldn't put much stock in it until/if Madrid make a formal offer. It's not like the Spanish media aren't known for their sensationalism.

LoL. The club and fans behaved too good, on the other side Ronaldinho was behaving like a piece of shit. Was a thinking on Barca? No way, party is the priority!

If I should choose between Ronaldinho in Barcelona or Ronaldinho Madrid, rather the second case. I just dont want him to dress blaugrana anymore, he doesnt deserve it for his unprofessional behaviour. I thank him for the 2004-06 years, he was great. But thats history and no one can live from it. He got his chance but he waste it.

Really sad the way how some people throws sh*t on Ronaldinho. The player who has done amazingly much for the club and he was threated as a king. Now people want him to get the f*ck out of the club etc...

Really sad..

I would rather give Ronaldinho away for free to Milan then get 40 million from Real Madrid. NEVER play for that club Ronnie!

About everyone throwing shit at Ronaldinho i can't understand it either. But the best thing for both Ronaldinho and the club would be if he left. He needs a new start in a new club to show that he still got it.

Whilst I thank Ronaldinho for all the memories he's given Barcelona, this wouldnt be the end of the world, especially if Madrid are willing to spend big, my worry is that he is notourios known for good football and has an impact on his team. As much as Madrid win, Barcelona will forever be known as the team who play football like it should be, it would hurt to see Madrid out entertaining us aswell as beating us, having said that, even with him, I dont really see this as a worry.
