Asked about the further transfer intentions for the rest of the summer, Barcelona economic vice president Ferran Soriano seemed to suggest in an interview with Catalan radio station RAC 1 yesterday that Barcelona attacker and Iceland international Eidur Gudjohnsen (29) is again an option for the centre forward position:
"There are two or three more transfers left. We intend to sign a player for the left wing and a centre forward. Although for that position we could stick with Henry and Bojan. A third centre forward can be brought in if Gudjohnsen, who also has options, leaves."

Meeting with Silva this week
Valencia regional sports paper Super Deporte claims that, after the board survived the vote of no confidence, Barcelona will now soon pick up the talks on the transfer of Valencia left winger and Spanish international David Silva (22).
The Spaniard, who is currently on holiday, has told his agent Amadeo Rengel that he doesn't want to hear anything about rumours and only wants to be informed of formal offers that have been made.
Silva is not planning to play things hard and will only look at offers coming in if Valencia decides to sell him. With the buyout clause being 90 million euro°, it is expected that Valencia will not be willing to negotiate for a transfer price lower than 35 million euro°.
Valencia regional radio station LP Punto Radio claims that Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain will meet later this week with Amadeo Rangel and Julio Llorente, the agents of Silva.
Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Silva is the main alternative in case the transfer of Zenit attacker Arshavin fails. But with the transfer price of the Spanish winger having seriously risen after his good performances at the European championship last month, Barcelona could also be looking at other options on the list.

Olympiacos considering offer for Crosas
Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Greek club Olympiacos is interested in Barcelona midfielder Marc Crosas (20), who played on loan with Olympique Lyon during the first half of this year and who can leave the club this summer (read more here).
Although Crosas' intial plan was to look for a club in the Spanish Primera Divisón, this could change if the Olympiacos interest would become more concrete.
The Greek champions have already informed the player's entourage about their interest. The club said that they're considering to launch a formal bid but have asked for some more time to look at the different options that are on the table.
Crosas has also been contacted by Getafe (read more here) and several Spanish second division teams. Although the Catalan midfielder is calmly considering all offers, Getafe would at this point be the preferred option of the player.

Hleb wants to join Barcelona
Asked about the rumours linking him with a summer move to Barcelona (read more here), Arsenal midfielder and Belarus international Alexander Hleb (27) has said in an interview with Belarussian internet portal Tut that he has decided to leave Arsenal and that he prefers to sign with Barcelona:
"I raised the subject of leaving with Wenger twice before the end of the season. It's not easy for me to leave neither, you know. I think he was upset about it. But you should ask him. It may turn out that he's happy about it.
In life everything changes. When some clubs are interested in you and offer you better terms, I believe that others would do exactly the same. I nevertheless don't yet know where I will play next season. There are negotiations with two clubs and I think that it will be decided soon. I would prefer to move to Barcelona."
Hleb said that he is confident about being able to play himself into the Barcelona eleven: "I heard the speculation that I would only warm the bench when I move to Barcelona, but they always say that. When I went to Stuttgart, everyone was saying that I wouldn't be playing there. It was the same when I signed for Arsenal. But apparently I have been playing always in those clubs, so the critics were proven wrong. I'm confident about my skills."
