Barcelona's medical staff has today announced that Barcelona player Zlatan Ibrahimovic (27) has broken the base of the second metacarpal bone of his left hand during a friendly game with his former club Inter Milan last week.
Ibrahimovic will undergo surgery tomorrow and is expected to be out for the next three to four weeks, which means that he will miss the three pre-season friendly games during the tour in the United States and the first round of the Spanish super cup. He is expected to make his debut as Barcelona player during the Joan Gamper Trophy against Manchester City on 19 August.

hopefully he'll be 100 percent at the beginning of the season
Damn! can't wait to see him play with Messi and co.
Will he be able to train in those weeks?
I don't care he misses the frienlies.
Stupid Inter to play him in the last 20 minutes of pointless game when everyone already knew he was coming to Barcelona!
He'll be able to train and travel with his teammates so it's OK. Besides, he's already done preseason work with Inter and will be fit by the Gamper match.
what the hell!!!!!!!!!!!
ah well better now than during the regular season. Looks like Bojan gets his chance to shine in the first leg of the Spanish Super Copa
its not about fitness its about him getting adapted to our style of play and the best way to do that is to play games, the pre-season would have been great for him to get use to our style so he can hit the ground running, now he has to learn in the super cups, lets hope he can, for that money he should.
im sure he would adapt to our way of playing. hopefull though!
nd Ibra, Caceres, Marquez and Puyol would form a gang of guys wit long hair i guess!
/cry now i have to wait another 3 weeks to see him play after waiting so long for him to be signed
