Although Barcelona officially announced on Monday that Barcelona attacker and Belarusian international Alexander Hleb (28) would move on loan to Inter Milan (with a buy option of 10+2 million euro) as part of the deal on the transfer of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, it is still not yet clear where Hleb will play next season.
Italian sports paper La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that one of the player's agents Maurizio Gaudino travelled to Spain yesterday trying to close a deal. He would nevertheless not have been able to find an agreement with Barcelona on last season's bonuses, nor to convince Hleb to join Inter. Inter would already be looking at other options.
German sports weekly Sport Bild reports that Hleb's agents Uli Ferber and Niki Spilevski travelled to Milan on Monday and Tuesday, but despite the pressure by Barcelona to leave, Hleb would want to stay at the club. Catalan sports papers Sport and El Mundo Deportivo meanwhile both claim that Hleb, who won't travel with the squad to the United States (read more here), could finally end up with his former club Stuttgart.

Leave already. You have talent and it shouldn't be wasted on our bench. But you need more commitment. This isn't friggin Arsenal, you have to learn the local language. Even my Spanish is better than yours, Alex. Don't bring that media garbage you brought upon us like how you did with Arsenal before leaving.
If he doesn't join Inter, it seems we'll have to pay them a compensation...
i think he should stay
we'll need him next season, specially with the 6 championships and i think that when he's having his day, he's a better dribbler than iniesta...
i sure hope he stays for next season at least.
Better dribbler than Iniesta! That is ridiculous! Iniesta never loses the ball, Mido! Never! The ball and the feet are glued to eachother. So since Iniesta never loses his foot when he plays, he of course never loses the ball either.
this is sad.i was hoping pep would keep him for another season, see if he could adjust some more.
@mido, no way hes better at dribling than iniesta.
Mido, honestly, that comment should ban you from this blog for an eternity. Are you seriously saying that Hleb in some way or form is better at something than Iniesta?
Holy mother of baby Jesus... leave. Leave now.
I think we should give him another chance.
And asper better dribbler, Hleb of Arsenal was one of the top 5 dribler in the world. better than Iniesta at that time. But the one that turned up at Nou Camp is very poor. Iniesta is good but Hleb was a better dribbler. until he gets back to his old self, Iniesta ROCKS!!
Until Hleb gets back to himself, Iniesta rocks? WTF? Never heard such nonsense. Iniesta rocks no matter how Hleb does. He is simply inferior to Iniesta!
If you watch some footage of Hleb, you'll see that Mido's statemnt is not that ridiculous. Hleb has some excellent dribbling ridiculous skills, although one should ask if they fit in our 433 system. Iniesta has made incredible progress over the last year and has now fully exploded as world class player.
Hleb, on song, is an amazing dribbler. I don't know if he's better than Iniesta, but it's definitely close. It's not nonsense for someone to make that claim, though.
Wonder when some people started watching football, or they love Barca more than the rest of us , thus they dont watch any other match apart from Barca's. Nobody is questioning Iniesta ability. but I can understand, Hleb is not from the La Masia. lol..
Check hlebs perfomances over the years and come back for discussion. I stated that the Hleb that turned up at Camp Nou is rubbish. So am not in any way saying hes better DRIBBLER than Iniesta. And dont forget we are not discussing who is the better player, we are only discussing who is the better dribbler.
he should stay if inter is no more intrested
Iniesta has not made incredible progress "over the last year". He has always been fantastic and has been world class for many years. But after Deco and Ronaldinho went, he and Xavi became much more of a focus point in the team among the media. But they are always the same, unreal ball control and passing and extremely intelligent players.
LOL... So Iniesta has made the progress just over last year!!! Take back your statement or I'm gonna say you are just a glory-hunter, PERIOD.
Looks like you're the glory hunter, Anony, because you apparently didn't see him play before otherwise you would know how he has devloped...
In 2007-2008 he failed at left wing, in 2008-2009 he played some brilliant games there. For me that's the ulitmate proof.
He was already very good, but the progress over the last year (since the euro) gave him a place among the world's best. I think the most important thign is that he looks a more mature player and has more confident to try things that he didn't dare to try before.
Pep, If Hleb chooses not to leave to Inter, will this have any implications on the deal we have with Inter, i.e will we have to pay a bigger transfer fee? Anybody who knows please comment!
Will have a post on it later today, Brn, but it seems we'll ahve to pay Inter some fee no matter if he joins them or not.
MiDO H.
Hleb better dribbler than INIESTA?...what planet are you on?... Hleb doesn't even come in the same sentence as Iniesta, and also Iniesta developed in the last year?...mate go back to who you were supporting before you decided to follow the tricampeons. Iniesta was a star in the making since 2006season although he wasn't a regular starter. And hleb well if he wants to go I think its best, next season will not be about proving yourself, we need to defend our crowns and we do not need 29 year old learners still wanting to learn, its better to give one of the youngsters ago at keast they'll have the hunger to prove something a make a future out of it.
hleb is good but not better than iniesta even when he was a starter at Arsenal,i still think he may play better if he is made to stay, but what ever decision they take on him should be best for him as well, let him at least choose where he feels will make him improve, stuttgart is a great club and will guarantee him strting roles.
