Medical: Zlatan to start training in couple of days

Barcelona's official website has announced that Barcelona player Zlatan Ibrahimovic will start training in the next days.

Barcelona physical coach Paco Seirul•lo told the club's official media: "He'll stay three or four more days without doing anything until the injury has stabilized. After that, he'll start doing exercises that don't carry any risk of contacts or falling. He won't play games, but he will be able to train.

This shouldn't be a disadvantage because he had already been training for nine days with Inter. He's still ahead of our schedule. And great talents make quick progress once they start training and playing. When will he play his first game? That's impossible to predict, especially because we don't really know him yet, how he works and how he recovers."

Ibrahimovic broke the base of the second metacarpal bone of his left hand during a friendly game with his former club Inter Milan last week and was expected to return for the Joan Gamper Trophy against Manchester City on 19 August.
