Former Barcelona player Samuel Eto'o has this afternoon been presented as new player of Italian champions Inter Milan.

"I thank Barcelona and my former team-mates. I spent wonderful years with that shirt. Many thanks to the club, the team-mates and the fans.
I want to write Inter Milan history. I won almost everything with Barca and I hope to do the same here. The Golden Boot? It would be nice but I think in the first place about the interests of the team.
Ibrahimovic has kissed the shirt of Barça? That's his choice. I won't do that for now because I first want to earn the trust of the fans on the pitch. Ibrahimovic is a great player but I am Samuel Eto'o and my past and my victories speak for me. I do not like comparisons. I wish Zlatan all the best.
When we won the Champions League with Barcelona after many years of disappointment, the fans went totally crazy. I think that winning it with Inter would have the same effect. It will be an exciting challenge trying to win that trophy.
I do not want to talk too much about the issue of racism. I always played in Spain and I have great experience in international matches. I want to be happy in Italy and with Inter. If this problem comes up, we'll discuss it but I hope it won't. I am pleased to have my dark skin. If I wouldn't have had it, I probably would not be the player I am today.
A player who I admire? I can't really give you a name. I watch a lot of games and goalkeepers are often crucial in a team. Victor Valdes is a great player but I have been saying for several years that Iniesta is a phenomenon and now I am happy that he has exploded."

I think Ibra indivudally is a better player: technique, smarts, vision, heading, free kicks..
But eto'o's speed in his first meters(like when we are playing in their goal area), his nose for tap-ins & his defending.. we'll miss with Ibra..

Barcelona is Zlatans favourit team. He kissed the shirt because he loves Barca and wants to show it to the fans.
Eto'o on the other hand loves Mallorca. Thats why he doesn't kiss the Inter-shirt, and he shouldn't.
Uh Zlatan grew up as a Inter supporter. Or so he says.

Ibra loves the team who pays him most... He has never spoken about Barça before, now suddenly it's his "dream club". If you want to believe that fairytale, fine.
Until there's no photo evidence of his previous "love" (like for example in the case of Arshavin), I don't buy it.
Hope he start loving it though (who wouldn't?) and when he kisses the logo in two years time, it could be something of real love!

ibra kissed the crest of barca because he chased money?NO,ibra is taking less money than he did at inter,whereas Eto'o is taking more than he took at barca,secondly eto'o would never kiss the crest of inter because his heart belongs to Mallorca,how many times do people want to be reminded that even at Barca he said he didn't have his heart for the team.It is hurting criticize Ibra because the guy is simply good.Let's admit it.Mourinho is not happy he lost him,the guy single handedly won inter those serie A titles and it would be out of proportion to criticise him,let us give him all the support and he will shine

Marws he said the exact same thing when he signed for inter, he said inter was his favorite club. I don't care about all the transfer frills and the kissing of the barca crest all it does is help with selling magazines. I'm looking for his goal tally and perfomances on the pitch.

sara be fair. the market made ibra inflated to 66 or so and eto won all that in 5 years time ibra has been here two days.. thank you samu for all your great moments! hopefully you continue them at your new club and give the world a reason to watch the serie A. will never forget the ETO'OOO!!
