Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona has not yet given up on Shakhtar Donetsk defender and Ukrainian international Dmytro Chygrynskiy (22).
The player, who would also still hope to join Barcelona, would certainly stay with Shakhtar until 29 August, when the Ukrainian club will inaugurate their new stadium.
Barcelona would make a last attempt to sign Chygrynskiy in the margin of the European super cup game between Barcelona and Shakhtar on Friday 28 August. The club will most probably again propose Shakhtar to sign Chygrynskiy on loan with the option of buying him next summer.

Oh My God!!! This is more than just obsession guys... Just come off it already. JESUS
its a lie
I think loan plus buy could be the way they go with the upcoming transfer if they don't want to make debts.
If this guy comes and it doesn't work out, Guardiola will have to explain something... ;)
this guy is also right footed. if we get a defender let him be left footed! No news on milito yet? if he gets fit that would be the best signing we could do.. I don't see the russion guy doing anything special. he has a lot of space, no one pressures him at all.his long ball is good...20m for a player without spanish nor cl experience is simply to much. the russian guys usually don't adapt very well to catalunya : hleb, kornejev
not again !
i mean what happened to Kompany :( ?
jordy, isn't he ukrainian? Hleb was Belarussian. Stoichkov managed to adapt, he was Bulgarian. You might as well say that Arsenal midfielders don't adapt very well to catalunya: Petit, Hleb.
Kompany isn't good enough. His lack of concentration and marking is appaling.
Is Our club Barcelona or Real Sociedad? If he don't want to come then we don't want him ever!!
Hey we got the treble this year and now we begging Ukrainian Player?
Let him die and not to come! I would prefer losing over his help.
Why dont we try to sign robben and sneijder. Reportetly they only want like 40-50 in total. they have both proven their prize, this would be a scoop and we still some money to buy a CB/dmf (Kompany)Madrid probobly wont sell to us but they both seem eager to stay in spain
(IMO) Get Afellay (Again) hahaha coz of his versatily but know he is injury prone (Again)... and Muniesa, Fontas, and Henrique (who btw can play both CB and RB) with enough experience and playing time can cover whatever position this Chygrinsky guy probably can... Pep mention that Henrique plays like Caceres but dont think that there is such a thing as 2 identical players...
!!BARCA!!
Buzz is all the drama by Laporta involving Cesc was just for himself to acquire a pre-agreement with him before the Rosell guy... But Txiki amidst all this, has nevertheless been working to try & sign other reinforcements silently. Pep's statement yesterday is being cited as the proof for this :)
Barça have strongly need a central defender and chygrynskiy is the right option.
I'm sure that Barça would get the transfer finish.
Chygrynskiy isn´t the right answer. I would rather see a player like Daniel Agger from Liverpool, he is a left footed CB who is also very strong in the offensive part
