Jonathan will have minutes with first team

Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola is very satisfied with the performances of Barcelona Atletic attacking midfielder and Mexican youth international Jonathan dos Santos (19) during the pre-season.

Because the Mexican player has worked hard both on training as during tha games, has adapted very well to the concepts explained by Guardiola and has shown maturity, the coach would have decided that Jonathan will get playing time with the first team this season.

Why? Thiago is better than Dos Santos. Muniesa and Thiago are the best youth players. All the rest are inferior to those two, including Gai, Dos Santos and Pedro and Jeffren.

To Anon...i'm sure you inferior to them too....you should be happy we have so much talented youth players.

Gai is the best

Gai is overrated. It's too bad we couldn't see Thiago because of that stupid euro u19 tournament.

gai and thiago are younger, they will get their shot next year. It's only fair that jonathan gets his shot now because he played well.

JDS took advantage of his chance. There is no use in saying "Gai is the best" when he didn't show that in the Wembley Cup. They both got an equal chance and JDS did more with his. As for Thiago, he will get his shot soon enough.

Very clearly, Pep knows what he's been doing and has done with respect to youth players...With the exception of Vasquez, everyone has been a great selection for the future...JDS will be no different

Jonathan is one of our best youths. Like the article says he has shown great maturity. He plays excellent football and in time he will dare too try on more difficult things on the pitch.
