Why?

bringing in eboue , means that puyol will no longer need to move to rb to cover for alves sometimes. Hence, we wont need another cb. coz puyol will always b the cb as he will no way have to shift to rb if eboue comes.

plus eboue can be used as a Right midfielder, which could give us more options as well.

That will make our squad more complete I hope it goes thru
anyone that trains with messi and alves will become good !!!

This is really a shame, Puyol is getting worse, and the best would be if he could rotate both on cb and rb, with Marquez and Piqué being the first choice in the center.

Eboue is a joke as a player, and not much of a good person to have in a squad either. We should buy someone more like sylvinho if we really cant trust the canteranos.

8m for a backup for a player that wants and is able to play every match is a ridiculous waste of money.

@ DAVE..dude r u on the same planet?? Doesnt mean if a player is not an iniesta or a messi that means he's crap ! The guy is really good !

Plus, he will adapt really quick as he already played with Henry and plays with yaya toure in the national squad.

i can't respect someone who dives in a cl final where one is really supposed to show one's talent and skill above everything else to see if one is made to be a champion. i don't know why we're going after such an expensive RB when we have several defenders from the youth and need a CM more.

@hristo

if you think 8 million for an RB is expensive then i don't know what you thought when alves was bought.

Anyway, guys, can you really trust the canteranos?i mean they are second class players. If they weren't then they would be promoted long time ago like Bojan, like Messi, and they would be in their first team of their respective countries don't you think?I mean some of them are 21.?thats no time to debut for a first team if you really were 'that good'.

So,stop backing the canteranos up.They are good but not 'that good'.I'm sick of people saying that we have to give chances to canteranos. If they were good then they would have been given such a chance when they were 17.You want to give chances to canteranos?that means you don't love barca because i want the best result and the canteranos to me are just back-up players.Besides Gai,who can you find a talent?no.

Because to me,I mean they're are NO world class players like Zidane,Messi,Iniesta,Ronaldinho in the canteranos. These guys that i mention from above is the World's best and world's best never debut for a first team when they are 21.The lads that debut when they were 21 are just another average player for Barca.

You can say all you want about me but i don't care and i don't give a damn because its my opinion on the canteranos.

Why does Barca always buy olayers from Arsenal? Petit, Henry, Overmars, Hleb, Sylvinho, etc...

As much as I might agree we should bring somebody in, I watched every single arsenal game for the past few seasons. I think eboue is the biggest waste of money out there. He's not smart enough to play at this level, alright control and speed but he is just the most ignorant slack ass back up we could find cheap*ish*. Please Don't make me support Eboue

@tyste because they play in one of the top club that belongs to top 3 league and plays the similar passing game as barca which increase their chances of adapting to barca style.

huy: Yeah, Petit and Hleb were two of the biggest flops for Barcelona. Easy for them to adapt? Don't think so.

i thought the guy who played rb in the wembley cup not sure of hs name did a good job?? anyone care 2elighten me??

Maybe you are thinking about Montoya?

the true TengkuAmir10(not the 'fake' one): Puyol moved to the first team in the age of 21, so he never was a world class? Just a shit player?

Arsenal is a selling club and likes to offload their players on us. Arsene Wenger is the used car salesmen of the football world, he highlights his players strengths by playing them with a bunch of children so they look good by comparison. Playing confidently for arsenal is very easy compared to playing for barca. Eboue will be like Hleb only worse.

the true TengkuAmir10(not the 'fake' one) said...

@anony

Puyol debuted earlier. He just moved PERMENANTLY at the age 21.Just like Busquets.

TenkuAmir10: No world class players in our academy?
Rochina - (I think he's 16-17) kicking the jams at Atletic
Thiago - (17-18) said to be next Xavi
Muniesa - (17) could be promoted without even playing for Athletic
Delofeu - (14? 15?) wanted by Liverpool and other top clubs
Icardi - (15) on the way to surpassing Bojan in goals scored in youth
J. Dos Santos - (19) have you seen him play?

I think you just expect every one to debut like Messi at 16 if they are good enough for Barca, but if we kept doing that we'd have many cases of Giovanni Dos Santos.

"He (Puyol) rapidly became a fixture in Barca B and then progressed to make his debut with the first team on 2nd October 1999 against Valladolid at the orders of Louis Van Gaal."

zidane was 24 before he moved to juve and became a world class player, iniesta is only just becoming a world class player he's been cementing his place in the team for years. youth players are not always gonna be 17 yr old stars some will need time to grow, learn and adapt to 1st team football. what makes barca so special is that they are willing to allow their youth that time.

as for eboue a truly horrible player, may well be the most hated player in england (now ronaldo gone!) even booed by the arsenal fans, please dont buy this guy.

HHK said...

Iniesta played several competitive games for Barcelona when he was 18 years old. The same with Xavi and Messi.

Didn't Puyol join Barcelona from another team when he was 17? AFAIK, Puyol is not a Barcelona youth product.

Iason said...

If Eboue is as much as a "dumb ass" as Abidal, I wouldn't mind having him on the team.
