Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is known not only for his talent as a football player but also for his passion for tattoos. He has eleven of them drawn all over his physique, mostly relating to his family and beliefs and as good luck charms.
by: Xaviniesta
1- The most striking design, a red dragon on his back, is said to be a metaphor for his personality.
2- The symbols on his wrists known as the "Ibrahimovic Code" are actually the birth dates of his parents and three siblings.
3- When his son Maximilian was born he had his name written on his right arm.
4- His second son Vincent's name was later added to Maximilian's.
His sons' birthdays were also added to the "Ibrahimovic Code" on his wrist.
5- The family name Ibrahimovic is written in Arabic on the back of his right arm.
6- The tribal drawing supposedly symbolizes the family's good fortune.
7- His mother's name Jurka is tattooed on his left arm.
8- His father Šefik's name is on his right arm. His parents' names and the Ibrahimovic Code were his earliest tattoos.
9- The words "Only God Can Judge Me" on his belly supposedly show both his religious and rebellious nature.
10- He supposedly got this unique white ink tattoo for a commercial but later decided to keep it.
11- His latest tattoo is a drawing of two poker cards, the aces of hearts and clover placed near the dragon symbol as a good luck charm.

He seems to like Tupac, the phrase Only God Can Judge Me. That may explain why he is selfish and stubborn in times..
so he answer you with :
only god can judge me , u dont know him , you just see how he play and how he looks in picture and think you can say he is selfish etc...
--ej--
only god can judge me is such a common tato
a know a lot of people that has the same writting
That's a bit crazy, 11 tatoos!
cool man !!
love his tattoos!!
love his play!
love his personallity!
live zlatan ibrahimovic!!
why in arabic
@messidona10 : Maybe beacause his father is a muslim ? Arabic is such a beautiful calligraphy!
Because he is a muslim.anyway,i thought muslims can't put on tatooes.
It's pretty homo erotic to go around the web and look for his half naked photos to find the "art on his physique!" He is just a player, who if fails to score, will be judged by something a lot more real than god: the Cules!
Hello!
I hope another tattoo: a Champions Barça won:)
greetings.
I hope my blog. With Google Translator!

Why don't all you idiots and haters stop posting under anonymous names and at least indetify yourself if your going to come spewing your igonrance and hate on this blog.
Great article, I enjoyed learned about the ink and it helps me get a better insight into Zlatan as well.
Keep up the good work guys, there is stupidity everywhere in the world, and especially this blog, but you can only control the quality articles and stories you provide and I appreciate that.
@anonymous
yes it is i'm proud being a lebanese:D
@barca4life
i'm not a muslim guy but i think a muslim can get a tatoo it's not against his religion
i pray that all of us who post on this blog will have nick names instead of always using Anonymous.my real name is Lawrence Bill Sowah but i prefer to go by the name Lawrenzo loves barca since that is what all my friends call me since i was 11,now i am 25 and i still love Barca.LOL.i love Ibra's tattoo but maybe they are too much in number.
the lebanese is arabic country but not a muslim one. i'm a lebanese and i'm a christian and i'm proud to be .

Looks like there are lot of Lebanese out there! That's cool :) We should arrange to watch some games together!
Alla, Barcelona, Messi wo bas! (God, Barcelona, and Messi only)
Thats for now! As for Ibra, we'll have to wait and see what he'll do. I don't care if he has six hundred tattoos, though they give an idea of his personality! His goals are what matter!!!
HEYY I'm lebanese 2(and proud) but not muslim but I can see that lots of muslims has got tattoos in lebanon so I think that they r aloud to
btw if u read it in arabic it's not IBRAHIMOVIC it's IBRAHIMOVIJ
allowed* sry :P
- Ok so I love Ibra's tattoos ... I don't think it's a bad thing to take interest in the lighter side of our players ... I mean we love Barca and those who play/ played for it ... Where's the harm in knowing about his tattoos!!
- I am not Lebanese but a palestinian and a muslim and just as a side note to end all of this: Muslims can be either Shia or Sunnis... For Shia's tattoos are allowed but for sunni's they arent. I hope that clarifies it.
- I personally don't care if Ibra is a muslim or if he practices .. Either ways using arabic doesn't mean a thing we have many non-muslim arabs .. i think he might have though arabic exotic and the caligraphy unique.
Forca Barca ...
@ loos
yeah we should arrange to watch matches 2gether, specially CL finals LOL :P
@Ziad : are u sure of this shia sunni stuf ? cuz honestly im a muslim sunni and i practice and its the first time i've ever heard of the tattoo's allowed for shia...
i love the arabic tatoo of his name.common zlatan is always a mad man.,.,.,.lol
i love ibra.
that red dragon tattoo is really cool
Yes tattoos is forbidden in Islam for sure. and I don't think he is a Muslim. I think he is just God Believer.
personally I hate tattoos, but I liked Ibra style. :)
i knew it.Tatooes were never allowed. Go fuck your wife IBRA.YEAH!!
Anything that brings us to being unhealthy is HARAM.Tatooes are haram.Drugs aren't haram but the Quran did say that anything that makes us unhealthy is considered HARAM.So,it depends on the type drugs.Alcohol IS also HARAM.So,the question now is...IS ibra a muslim or not??But if he was, that doesn't mean he is out of islam,it just means that he is not so religious.I mean a lot of muslim footballers drink.A lot of the rich muslims are corrupted.Rich ones also love cocaine. So,whatever it is,Ibra has his own right to go phuck girls all day long or drink alcohol or do drugs.
All these people jumping on the tattoo band wagon should remember in a few years time tattoo's will go out of fashion and the guys and girls will be stuck with some very ridiculus and silly drawings for there lives.
why dont they just buy a painting or take up art drawing instead of getting there Skin permanetly 'inked'
The tattoo issue is actually based on the Sunni/Shia thing. I'm Shia, and I have a tattoo. I wouldn't have one if it was haram. But i spoke to many friends who were sunni, and they believe it to be haram. Just to clarify :)
Well I never heard Zlatan aknowledge anything about his religion. I know he is Muslim because his father a bosnian muslim but he never talked about it . we can understand it cause his parents divorced when he was 6 and lived mostly with his mother if im correct.......so he didnt live with a muslim atmosphere ramadan and all so its normal to see him never talk about islam cause anyways he didnt practice it young .....
By the way i dont like tattoos on men takes all the beauty of gods creation....
its sad though and please ladies why did he marry a woman 11 years older than him by the time he will be 30 she will be 41 not such a good affair !
-Asma
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a catholic. He has said so in an interview in a Swedish newspaper.
I am Muslim in my religion, using tattoos is forbidden, but may follow the western style Ibrahimovic is why using a tattoo, sorry my english not good
wether we r muslim, christian, jews or what ever..as long as we can live together in happiness..its ok ! RESPECTS each others
his father is muslim from Bosnia so he can not be catholic, he is not like Hussain Mubarak O... :)
