Catalan sports paper Sport reports that the contract of Barcelona Atletic attacking midfielder and Mexican youth international Jonathan dos Santos (19) will expire at the end of the 2009-2010 season.
With the player willing to stay at the club for many more years, it would now be up to Barcelona to make Jonathan, who will probably return to Barcelona's second team before the start of the league, an offer to renew his expiring contract.

But again it's rather late, it could be on his terms now. Although he probably has learnt from what happened with his brother.
We'll see if hes a "long term investor" or a "short term guy".
Obviously if you are good enough, we'll pay you plenty in the future but if you just want money now and leave and get owned like his brother, theres nothing much we can do.

ya suarez is good last season he scored 21 goal and 14 assist from 31 games

he is playing good the best part is he nows the ajax wing system which he is playing so easy to adapt !!!!
jonathan shld be given a barca b conract with clause for first team contract to be given if he impresses pep with first team perfomances and mins played for first team with extension till 2015 if he signs first team contract!!
The problem is Suarez is not comfortable coming in from left... He prefers RW or CF, and in those positions he's gonna have to be ready to be a second fiddle for Ibra & Messi for like ever?!?

Barcelona should renew his contract since he has shown that he is a good player and a good long-term investment. Let's hope he does not repeat the mistakes of his brother and takes things slow.
