I'm sorry if I sound like a noob, but does Barcelona have a sort of first option deal with Palmeiras? Because, correct me if I am wrong, but even Henrique was bought from there...

Wow wow Benefica! Look at them!

They got Saviola, and he has been scoring for them a lot lately. And a very good young d-mid in Javi Garcia!

If they K-9 on loan they should win the league and qualify for the CL.

Saviola-Keirrison on top would be very good.

The (main) owner of both Henrique and Keirrison was Traffic, an agency. The strange thing is that both players are transferred from Coritiba to Palmeiras for 1-2 millions in January and then six months later we buy them for 10-15 millions. There's something about those deals for sure, we didn't hear the last about it yet...

Well Anurag, I know that Keirrison inserted a clause in his contract that ensured that if Barca came for him, it would be for 15 million euros, while his normal buyout clause was 50 or something of the sort. I think it's just a case of coincidence with Henrique and Keirrison being on Palmeiras and both came from Coritiba. Barca might have a deal in place with Traffic, that sports marketing agency that holds a percentage of rights of some players.I think there is a board member tied to them or something. Not too sure.

You don't "know" that, Jnice, you read it somewhere.

And it's not really a coincidence they both passed through Coritiba and Palmeiras since Traffic is an owner of those clubs.

Again: you've read it, Jnice. You don't "know" it. Keirrison doesn't talk about figures. Looks more like trying to create some goodwill.

That's why I said "something of the sort." I knew that he had inserted the clause in his contract, though.

Ok, then I "know" (because I've read it somewhere...) that Atlético has rejected to sign Keirrison for 6M when he was offered by Traffic, despite "knowing" that he had at the same time a 50M clause for all clubs and a 15M clause for Barça.

Baseline: you and I don't "know" anything about the contracts of the players and the clauses in those contracts. We just "know" what the spin doctors of clubs and players want us to "know".
