Asked about this year's upcoming Ballon d'Or award, Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain (21) was quoted by football site Tribalfootball as allegedly saying, "Today, the last winner of the Ballon d'Or is Cristiano, but this year Leo is going to win because Barca won the Treble. Undoubtedly, he is going to win this year"
Real Madrid left back and Brazilian international Marcelo (21) was similarly quoted, "I think Messi will be the new Ballon d'Or because even though Cristiano has done well, to win the award it includes many things such as titles won."

or just simply messi is better than ronaldo. regardless of titles messi should win this award before ronaldo every day.
it will be funny if they decide to give the award to xavi or iniesta instead hehe.nobody counts them in the media but they are awesome too and way better than cristiano or kaka.
if i had to choose it would be iniesta.for me iniesta is more crucial in the field than messi and that showed when he was injured we got the down road...
do they have a choice
I feel the first part of the season was Messi time,
while after Descember it was Iniesta time.
Don't get me wrong, both players were great the whole season
cmon statistic shows the right one.
Iniesta deserves it as much as Messi.It's ridiculous how they always underrate him..
Messi has better Statistics than CR
Messi has a better atitude than R
He scores more goals than CR
He went head to head with CR and scored while CR didn't
And even if you want to compare titles won....
Messi- 2 UCL, 3 Liga, 1 Copa.
Ronaldo-1 UCL, 3 Premier, a couple of cups.
