Ex-Barça: Pizzi to Santiago Morning

Former Barcelona forward and Spanish international Juan Antonio Pizzi (41), has been officially appointed as manager of Chilean first division club Santiago Morning.

The Argentine-born manager, who had been away from coaching since he left Peruvian club Universidad San Martín in 2006, signed a two-year deal with the Chilean team.


Juan Antonio Pizzi joined Barcelona in 1996, arriving from Tenerife. After two seasons, he left for Argentinian club River Plate. With Barcelona, he won one Spanish league in 1998, one Spanish cup in 1997, one Spanish Super Cup in 1996, one European Cup Winner's Cup in 1997 and one European Super Cup in 1997.

blame the board in that time for falling out with ronaldo, if they didn't do that he wouldn't have gone inter and from inter to real.

there's another great player on the picture. second from left "the great GIOVANNI" called "the magician". he's also a close friend of rivaldo and there's a cool story bout it.
when giovanni was to sold to olympiacos, rivaldo offered to pay the half of the transfer-money to barca to keep him.
if you saw him in the past or look at clips of him, you'll know what i'm talking about. for me, one of the best brazilians in barcas history too. loved our forward line with RIVALDO (the greatest of all time), GIOVANNI and SONNY ANDERSON (who lost his place on kluivert, who for me, was one of the greatest talents, but never showed his real skills, because of his too much fun beside the pitch nightlife-loving-character, which brought him the nickname "nighthawk")
