Speaking to journalists after the league game against Sporting Gijón yesterday, Barcelona players Seydou Keita and Xavi commented on the match. Keita
"It was a little difficult after having played in Monaco, on a bad pitch, for 120 minutes. We all wanted that first goal of Ibra to come because we need him. And if he can adapt quickly, the better for the team. To play at Barça, you need some time to adapt to the way of playing. I also had to go through it but I am very happy now."
Xavi
"The team has just won two super cups and it wasn't an easy game. The game could have become complicated but we have given everything. Sporting is a team that plays well but we kept everything under control. Generally speaking, we are working well and keeping the modesty. Ibra is a goalscorer and he likes to score. This was his first goal with Barça and we are happy for him because he's working hard."

Keita was a real power in the attacking midfield position. He and Bojan were the best yesterday.
ReplyDeleteAs guardiola said once : Keita is a blessing for barcelona
ReplyDeleteso people who said that Keita is a bad signing or an average signing he proved to you that he is a class player.
ReplyDeleteKeita may not be the flashiest of players but he does his job well...
ReplyDeleteive always liked keita. effective guy
ReplyDeleteyes you did and I really think your like a new world class signing
ReplyDeleteKeita disappointed me a little last season especially when you think about how good he was in his last season for Sevilla, he was probably one of the best players in la liga that season, but he showned some promise yesterday and also in the pre-season
ReplyDeletePep, shouldn't it be keita And xavi, no keita and victor valdes?
ReplyDeleteIt should indeed be, Barca10. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteKeita was poor yesterday, and has been poor in almost every game in Barcelona.
ReplyDeleteHe won a few headers that happened to win the game for us, and he ran a lot, but that's all. He's slow with the ball and mostly chooses the wrong option, he doesn't really understand how to run either, often blocks the space for other players.
Keita has been very impressive lately and won us the game yesterday! He also happens to be a very humble person on/off the field, and a team player, fitting Barca like a glove.
ReplyDeleteIf there were a survey, 99 out of 100 people would say, Keita impressed against Gijon, and that one person that disagreed, would be David. Are you joking David? If not, your ignorant to say the least.
ReplyDeleteDavid, your clueless mate!
ReplyDeleteHe's great and has the knack to be in scoring position. Go keita..
