Zenit lowers Arshavin asking price

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Zenit Saint-Petersburg has lowered the asking price for Zenit forward and Russian international Andrei Arshavin (27) to 20 million euro° because the club would have understood that nobody was ready to pay 30 million euro° for the player.

Although this could open new perspectives, Barcelona doesn't move and is waiting to see what happens. At this moment the club is sticking with their initial offer of 15 million euro°, that was originally accepted by Zenit. Barcelona now wants to wait for Zenit asking to reopen the negotiations.

Finally barca board are acting wisely. they never should be so passionate about singing players in the first place or vice versa about selling them as we sold deco for a cheap price and dinho will be sold for not very high price of course understanding the circumtances. But my point is that we should not push so hard for players as clubs play with prices a lot. 15 millions for this guy is not ver high its the right price. Hleb is a good addition.

And any news for Thiago Neves and Hernanes i think one of them should be the last Barca singing for this year.

I think now we have a very compettetive team in every aspect.

15m and not a penny more.
I would take arshavin for 15 and neves for 12

and get at least 27 + 5 for ronnie.
though if ronnie stays I'll be happy with one of the two!

arshavin malouda david silva or thiago neves...what do you think...my player is thiago neves...

I would go for Silva as first option and Malouda as second. Although i must admit that had i know more about Hernanes or Neves the case could be different. The video-clips on youtube looks good, but it doesn't make a fair ground to make a judgement on. I say keep Eto'o, sell Ronnie, bring in Silva!

barcelonista.. i dont know muh about t.neves and neither think you do.but he is probably the biggest talent out of that 4 guys, even though not the best of them at the moment.anyway, i´d like to watch him blooming at camp nou every other week :)

So common sense is starting to smack Zenit upside the head, eh? We can wait, now that the Hleb signing is done. If Arshavin wants to come and ride the Barca Bench, he's more than welcome at 15 million and not a penny more.

Funny how Zenit overestimated the demand for that player.

still not sure about this, both the same age, if they cost the same i think i would prefer arsharvin over hleb, hleb is not as much of a gamble as arsharvin but if arshavin plays well he would have more of an impact than hleb, plus he is a committed barca fan so questions of commitment and hard work should not be a problem. for 15 mil i'd rather get him instead of hleb, but it looks like we've got hleb and arsharvin is going to arsenal as his replacement!

I know that technically they don't all play the same position, but the possibility of having Hleb, Arshavin, Silva/Neves would seem like too many chefs in the kitchen to me. If Hleb is going to cost us 15mil, and Arshavin is going to cost equally as much, that's 30mil spent for two players who are probably going to spend more time collecting splinters on the bench than gracing the pitch. I fail to understand Barcelona's logic or "plan" in this matter?

Neves is the best signing we could make for an attack mid right now. Affordable and with huge potential.
