Back soon

Over the past two days, a few people have been discussing the continuity of this blog. Since we think it would be a shame that all what has been built would be lost, we've decided to give it a go and try to form a new blog team, that will keep this blog going and try to take it to another level.

Everyone who feels he can add something to this new project, is motivated and wants to get involved can contact us at:

fcbtransfers [at] yahoo [dot] com

In the first place we are looking for people who can do the news updates (by gathering the news and/or writing posts). But we are also looking for people with experience in webdesign who want to form a team that builds a new site, and basically everyone mentioned here.

We want to be up and running in the coming days, so stay tuned!

- the new blog team -

The enthusiasm of the new guys and your comments in my last post have won me over to give new people a try.

I give my full support to the new team. I will be assisting them in the background however and whenever I can.

It will ask some re-organization, but if things turn out as planned, the blog and the community will come out stronger.

The last few days have been a complete nightmare, I wake up to the reality that this blog is no more, I still visit the site 5 times a day hoping its not true and that there is at least one new update, but everytime I visit my feelings are hurt even more. I only got to know this blog just over a month and its been the best site I have ever visited on the net, specially with so many cules here, the silly comments, the laughs the jokes just everything, most importantly the news of our great club. Today however after hearing this news I feel alot better, I couldn't do my work properly the last few days just constantly feeling down, this is no exaggeration but an understatement. I am training on webdesign, html, dreamweaver fireworks and so and will be more than willing to help make this even better, but that would be in a few months time if there is still an opportunity. I would like to thank you PEP for listening to all of us here and I am sure there are plenty of people here who are capable of continuing this blog bigger and better!!

Good this could be back!

Amazing news! I won't be able to help out with translations but if there's a need to improve the site in any way, I might be able to help.

Anyway, I'm really glad it didn't have to end here.

Pep:

I am wondering how many visitors the site get per day? My feeling is that it is almost essential for almost all Barcelona fans who are not native spanish or catalan speakers.

Great work with the site anyway and I hope the new guys can continue at the same high and consistent level.

FANTASTIC news Pep!!!!!!

It's like signing five new Messi's : )

Anonymous said...

I visit this site daily but this is my first post. I'm really happy there are plans to keep this site going. I thought i'd suggest you guys strike agreements with other Barca sites to link between sites....kind of like a 'friend/ally sites' section to boost traffic. There aren't a lot of 'Barca only' English-speaking sites out there. This can allow many of the non-spanish speakers a place to go to get their daily Barca fix.

Thanks for all the hard work Pep.

Marc4barca said...

well llorente told villa he is unstransferable so valencia went back on their promise to villa and now barca will start panic signings, i really don't want forlan, i rather keep eto and go after ribery or we can make another attempt at zlatan, oh how that would make me happy.

Carrer de Corsega said...

Pep,

Thank you for the invitation, but I have to politely decline.

I left Barcelona April of 2008 to live in the United States for a while. I just don't have the same access to resources anymore. Besides, we have a time zone conflict that would spoil any "news" that I will provide.

But my main excuse is different. Here in the States, I have to have fast food instead of menu del dia! My point being that work here is more fast paced and much more time consuming. The professional life has been kicking my ass for a year now and even harder is balancing it with my personal life. And I like to spend my spare time kicking the ball around or drink!

I would love to help the blog, and I sincerely apologize to you and the new blog team for only being a consumer!

I will gladly dive in to help if I ever change my mind.

Thats great news, thought id have to check out goal.com for the rest of the news and lets not forget they said a week ago that we signed villa.THANK GOD NO MORE BULLSHIT.hope the site is flying soon.

transfers are so hard so realize at the moment. can't we get anyone? they demand 55-55 mio euro for villa. are they crazy. ibrahimovic is even more expensive. but eto'o is just 29 mio euro worth? laporta really sucks. he was so stupid in eto'o-case. if eto'o leaves, who will be our first class striker?

Can you guys believe that we are a few days from pre-season training and we have not signed anyone!!!

i dont think there was ever a team which would enter a new season without a new signing,

This villa saga is taking tooo long,,,forget him if we cant signing and start looking for others ! what abt our LB our Midfield !

there will no way be four signings, with how stingy barca is being.

FC Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, assured the public that Barca won´t yield to Valencia´s astronomical demands for David Villa.

“We won´t stretch our finances. Barca can do some touch-ups regarding the price but the players that interest us will only be coming on reasonable terms”, said the FC Barcelona president.

Laporta then finished off the Villa topic with a statement which was seen as a clear message that FC Barcelona won´t succumb to Valencia´s 50 million euros demand: “FC Barcelona is interested in Villa, but only up to a certain point, and if we can´t reach it, we will have to look to other equally valid options and assess which of them would suit us best”.

fcbtransfers.blogspot.com will probably back up in the coming hours! spread the news!

I hope the new team does a wonderful job.
